Albert Einstein
German-born physicist (born March 14, 1879, Ulm, Württemberg, Germany – Died April 18, 1955, Princeton, New Jersey, US) who developed general and special theories of relativity and won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921 for explaining the photoelectric effect. A notable physicist of the 20th century, Einstein is generally regarded as one of the most influential people of the era.
He was born in a secular, middle-class Jewish family. Einstein’s father, Hermann Einstein, originally sold featherbeds and then owned an electrochemical factory with a moderate amount of success. Einstein’s mother was Pauline Koch. Two years after Albert, Maria (who became known as Maja) was born. It was a pleasure researching Albert Einstein quotes, one of the greats of 20th-century science.
His early years were profoundly affected by two “wonders.”. At age five, he encountered a compass for the first time. When he realised invisible forces had the ability to deflect the needle, he felt astonished. His fascination with invisible forces would last a lifetime. His second discovery came at age 12 when he found a book of geometry that he devoured and called his “sacred little geometry book.”
Einstein was one of the greatest physicists of all time. He worked on theories about motion, gravity, and quantum mechanics. Einstein gave speeches about his discoveries around the world after he published some groundbreaking papers. Having discovered the photoelectric effect, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921.
Albert Einstein is best known for his equation E = mc2. The equation states that energy and matter (matter) are one and the same thing. It was Einstein’s theory of special and general relativity that helped complicate and expand upon theories proposed by Isaac Newton more than 200 years earlier.
